I want to close my account forever. How do I make sure it is closed and ended? I saw a charge back. Does that mean you are giving me back money. How do I recibve the money if I don’t have the same charge card?

We cannot close the account until the active chargeback dispute is canceled through your credit card provider.

Ok. My credit card released the dispute over a month ago. Can you please check if you see it on your end please.

Our payment processor still shows the dispute as under review. It can take up to twelve weeks for a payment dispute to be resolved, even after you’ve withdrawn it at your financial institution, and it won’t be possible to delete the site or close the account until that happens, or alternatively, until you pay the chargeback fee.

Hey all, Because of the number of threads the OP has opened on this topic, there’s a bit of a muddle. I’m copying staff-blorbo’s last reply from February 21 at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/account-problems-16/#post-3439786
Unfortunately, American Express is rather slow with chargeback resolution.
I have checked with our billing department and have confirmed both that our processor says they will have an update for us by March 24, 2020, and that we won’t be able to issue a refund while the chargeback remains.
If you check back with us around that time, we’ll be happy to issue that refund.
Meanwhile, I have also confirmed that no further charges will be made.
