  Hi there,
  You can use Gravatar to change your avatar. Because, Gravatar powers the user avatars on WordPress.com

  Read more about changing avatars from Gravatar here:

  To change you avatar go to https://wordpress.com/me and click on the profile picture, it will take you to your gravatar account(if you have one, if you don’t-then signup for gravatar using your wordpress account) where you can change your avatar.
