  Hi I set up this account the other day and then today I brought a domain name and hosting through host gator, how do I create a new account?

  You’ve created an account and a free site here at WordPress.com. However if you’ve also paid money for a domain and hosting at HostGator then I think you really ought to be talking to them about the next stage of setting up your (WordPress.org) site there.
