  I have two accounts somehow that are linked and I wish to close one but I don’t know how to do that without deleting both of them. is there any way to do that without deleting both of my sites?

  Yes. Accounts are not linked together, so you can deactivate the one that you no longer need. Just remember this is permanent, and the username is not going to be available again to you (or anyone else).

  If you have a wanted site registered to the unwanted account, then you would want to transfer that to the account you plan to keep before deactivating the account.
