    Hello, I have been using a private service who hosts and does minor edits for me. I am looking to switch to a platform that I can have control over. He built on wordpress, so I am hoping so save money in this transfer process. Can you please let me know where to start with this? Please call me!

    Please not we don’t provide phone support on WordPress.com. Additionally this forum is public, so please don’t post any personal contact information here.

    If your existing site is built with WordPress, you can export all your content by going to Tools ->Export in the dashboard. That will give you a file which you can then import to your WordPress.com site at My Site ->Tools ->Import.

    Note this will only migrate your content. You’ll need to set up the WordPress.com site again with one of our themes, or if you want to continue using the theme and any plugins you currently have, that would require our Business Plan.
