Dear Sir/Madam,
I think I may have accidentally registered two profiles last week when I was linked to wordpress from Anchor podcasts.
Now I can’t change either my username to @thebeautifulmaze (from @thebeautifulmaze2760) nor my domain the thebeautifulmaze.wordpress.com
It says that both are unavailable. Please could they be made available again?
Many thanks indeed

Hi thebeautifulmaze2760

It’s basically your own site on a different account that you created before and then deleted that site.
If yes, Then to restore your old site. You must log in with the account on which you created that site and then you can create a new thread from that account to restore your site. Staff will help you to restore your site.
Note: Keep in mind, staff can only help you if deletion has been done within the last 30 days. if it’s more than 30 days, it will be permanently deleted from the systems and you will not be able to get it back.To know more about how to restore your site please refer to the support document below:
https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/#reverse-a-site-deletionHope this helps.

Thanks for getting back to me.
Is there any chance that the domain name and profile name could be made available again?
thebeautifulmaze.wordpress.com
@thebeautifulmazeThere isn’t really anything to restore from that site. But somehow changing the domain name, I can’t return to it. Thank you.

@thebeautifulmaze2760
If you have deleted your account (@thebeautifulmaze ) when you deleted your site.
Then you must have to first restore your account and then you can restore back your site. here is the site
https://wordpress.com/support/close-account/#account-restorationI am also tagging this thread as modlook for staff attention. They might have any direct solution for this case. Please wait for some time they will get back to you with a better suggestion on this.
Hope this helps.

Hi there!
I was able to restore the site thebeautifulmaze.wordpress.com – it is completely empty though, as it became an independent site when you change the site’s address.
You can go ahead and export/import the content from your other site.To change your username to
thebeautifulmaze, go to https://wordpress.com/me/account, and type the new username. It doesn’t look like you had it registered before so it should work. -
Hi, is there any chance I can’t just change the site “thebeautifulmazen.wordpress.com” to “thebeautifulmaze.wordpress.com”
I tried exporting and importing but the whole themes and plugins were different.
It would just be easier to change from “thebeautifulmazen.wordpress.com” to “thebeautifulmaze.wordpress.com” but I can’t do this….
-
The reason being that the one which is currently called “thebeautifulmazen.wordpress.com” is the site which was automatically created by Anchor and this is the one which I want to use. I’m not sure but two were created.
I just want to use “thebeautifulmazen.wordpress.com” but without the n in the domain name

I have recovered https://thebeautifulmaze.wordpress.com so you can export https://wordpress.com/support/export/ and import into it: https://wordpress.com/support/import/#import-content-from-another-word-press-site
Once you activate the same theme you were using on the other site via https://wordpress.com/theme/spearhead it should look the same. :)

Hi thanks, I did what you said but it still doesn’t look the same.
I don’t understand why https://thebeautifulmazen.wordpress.com can’t simply be changed to https://thebeautifulmaze.wordpress.com. Why all the import/export stuff…?

An existing site cannot be changed to another existing site, nor can it be changed to a deleted site.
The good news is, the only difference I see is that you haven’t selected your Home page as the front page yet: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/ :)
