Help – cannot update image links
-
Trying to connect each company’s logo to their URL, but no matter what I do, the image links reset to the default. Whether I use the image editor or change the HTML directly, when I update it all goes away. Arrg…
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We need the URL of the blog in question beginning with http to be able to give you accurate help.
-
-
Are you using the direct links to the company’s website? Eg the link to the Constant Contact website: is that just http://www.constantcontact.com or is it some sort of affiliate code or something?
Show us the actual links you are trying to include.

Thanks for your help!
They’re trackable shortcodes, but I’ve it tried it both ways and verified w/ the best coder I know that it’s a system error – possibly tied to the latest WP update. I submitted a support ticket and I’ll follow up with an “update”.

Well, that’s your problem. I don’t actually think this will be resolvable. Looking at your blog, I strongly suspect you’ll need to move off WordPress.com to an independently-hosted blog, as you will need to depend on those kinds of trackable clicks on an ongoing basis, and they can’t generally be used here.
-
Please familiarize yourself AND your consultant with the differences between WordPress.COM, where your site is located, and WordPress.ORG. That’s the issue: he’s talking about the .org, you’re using the .com.
-
I’m aware of the difference and he’s clear on which one I’m using, but thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.
-
Well, if he were THAT familiar with the differences, he would have told you that those custom codes would 90% likely be stripped out here.
