HELP- Can't get rid of comments closed message on my post

Please help me.
I can’t for the life of me work out how to get rid of the comments closed message on my nishita theme. I haven’t paid for the customise theme option and am hoping i don’t have to just for this on issue.

You must have accidentally checked the box in your discussion settings that disallows people to comment on new posts. Go to your dashboard, look near the bottom of the options on the left, choose ‘Settings’ then ‘Discussion’. It’s the third option down. Make sure it’s checked, then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the ‘Save Changes’ button.
If that doesn’t sort it out, come back here and let us know.

Apology for my brain glitch, I meant to type that you must have accidentally left that box unchecked. You need to ensure that it is checked.

I am dancing all around the room because I found my answer! In case others are looking for why they are not receiving comments on their blogs, it was simple really. I have a rather extensive list of ‘spam and blocked words’. So… there are the comments were when I checked the spam folder!!!! So now I have over 100 comments to answer. Thanks for anyone trying to help me with the issue! Susanne
