help me fix my purchase today!

  I wanted to buy ‘themusicofjosh.com’ as a blog/website like all my others (59stepsmusic.com), etc.
  I have no idea how I managed to do this; however, I purchased the domain name (and private hosting) but I must have hit some button that now makes ‘themusicofjosh.com’ redirect to my main domain name instead of making its own blog. I need the two to be separated so I can make an entirely different blog.

  I can help you fix that.

  First, I’ll need you to create a WordPress.com site for that domain to point to (if you haven’t already). Once you have done so, just let me know.

  You can start a new site by logging into your WordPress.com account and going here:

  https://signup.wordpress.com/start/

  The wordpress domain I was hoping for is “taken” because I bought the URL for the non-wordpress site and my guess is that wordpress holds both names as a convenience to the user (and for those that didn’t do what I did – so sorry!).
  so, I was hoping for: themusicofjosh.wordpress.com
  If that’s not possible, can I just make another wordpress site and hide that name so all the visitor sees is “themusicofjosh.com”?

  Hello Rootjosh,
  Thank you for your reply. The reason why “themusicofjosh.wordpress.com” is because I mistakenly did this whole mess from the beginning (so sorry!). It says that “the authors have deleted this site” – does that mean I can get it back?

  If not, How do I fix this? I would like to attach “themusicofjosh.com” to “joshwarrenmusic.wordpress.com” if I can’t have the other one.
  More importantly, I would like to unattach it to “https://lauraharrisonmusic.wordpress.com/” but I don’t want to lose the domain. I need “themusicofjosh.com” to work

  I am afraid not. WordPress.com URLs are not recycled.

  I would like to attach “themusicofjosh.com” to “joshwarrenmusic.wordpress.com” if I can’t have the other one.

  I have made this change. It should point to joshwarrenmusic.wordpress.com now.
