Help me recovery my account

  I use a free wordpress.com account for jetpack for my self-hosted site the-digi-picture.com. Unfortunately I’m locked out of my wordpress.com account since two factor authentication is active but I don’t receive the sms codes. What’s more the backup codes I recently created do not work for some reason. Unfortunately I cannot use the recovery form since it requires a wordpress.com domain which I don’t have. But I know my username and I have the original activation link for my account as proof of identity. Can somebody help me recovering my account?

  P.S. This is not the account in question. I created this account in order to be able to post on the forums which according to your support ai is the only way for a free account to get help. My real username is thedigipicturecom.

  I was able to resolve the issue. I found a working backup code. Once logged in I changed two factor authentication to an authenticator app and now everything works again.
