Help me transfer my website and blog from Yahoo to WordPress.com

  Can I get human help transferring my domain, website, and blog from Yahoo to WordPress.com? I also have an old site hosted on WordPress that I no longer want (Mystery Writers). How do I get rid of it?

  To delete the undesired site, please follow the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/

  As for the site you’re transferring, what is the URL of it currently? This will help us to make sure you get the right info.

  Thanks macmanx! The link is just what I’ll need to delete the old Mystery Writers blog. Meanwhile, I located the page I needed to transfer my domain, and it’s already underway. Thanks again. -Tom

  Well, I spoke too soon. My Yahoo-hosted site never transferred over and it’s two weeks later now.

  So here’s my site’s URL: http://www.thomas-hopp.com

  Any help transferring it would be appreciated.

  Thanks for the additional info! We don’t have a direct importer for Yahoo sites unfortunately, so it will take a bit more work to migrate, but we have some recommendations on how to do that as painlessly as possible here: https://transferto.wordpress.com/drag-and-drophtml-site-builders/

  There was one exception though, I noticed the blog in that site menu links to http://www.thomas-hopp.com/blog/

  That is a WordPress site, and so you can create an export file on that site, and import it here. It will bring in all your blog posts, pages, uploaded media, and comments from that site. It will not collect content from the main site at thomas-hopp.com but using our migration tool for your blog will save you the manual effort of moving that content specifically.

  On WordPress.com you do not need to separate sites for your blog and main site, so you can import all content into a single site here on WordPress.com to combine both of your sites.
