Help Moving Followers
-
Hi, I’m a long time WordPress user. I recently moved my hosting and Domain to Bluehost, but in the process lost all of my followers. How can I get them back?
-
You can transfer your followers via this guide: https://jetpack.com/support/subscription-migration-tool/

Thank you for responding. I have seen this guide, but several things are not clear.
1) It says that the “WordPress.com site that has the followers and the Jetpack site that will be receiving the followers must be using the same WordPress.com user account.” I have a wordpress.com site on BlueHost, and my old site is now a WordPress.com site. I can see Jetpack on both sites. So where do I have to give permissions to use Jetpack on both sites?
2) Do I need to purchase JetPack to do this?
3) I do not see the same settings screen with Migrate followers from another site. When I go through my wordpress.com site all I see is “View your email followers.” If I click that I can see the followers on my old site, but I cannot migrate them.
Thanks! -
Hi there,
We can move the followers for you. However, you need to contact us from the account that owns both the WordPress.com site and the site that is connected via Jetpack.
What’s the address of both your old and new site so I can have a closer look and further assist you?

You requested the address of both the old and new site.
New site: barbararath.com
email address: (email visible only to moderators and staff).
I believe Jetpack is installed correctly here.
Old site: https://wordpress.com/view/brathhoover.wordpress.com
email address: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
I see Jetpack, but it looks different here than on my new site. -
I have successfully transferred your followers to your new site. Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.
