  Hello, Can you please contact me? My father Dan Churchill passed away. He owned site: woodennickelny.com and it says it is powered by wordpress at the bottom… I can’t figure out how to get in and change phone, and hours posted. Can you please call me at [redacted by staff].

  Hi there,

  I am sorry to hear about your loss.

  Your father’s site is not hosted with us on WordPress.com, but is using the self-hosted WordPress.org software. Based on the public Whois data of his domain, that domain is registered and hosted with enom.com, so you’ll need to contact them to gain access to the domain and hosting account. Once you have access to that you should be able to reset the admin password for the site itself to gain access.

  I can’t find a policy on Enom’s website on claiming or closing an account of a deceased user, so you’ll probably need to follow their account recovery process outlined here:

  There are also instructions on that page how you can contact their support for help with this.

  Once you have access to the hosting account you can follow these instructions for the WordPress software to reset the password to the site:
