Help needed: Removing personal information from a website not owned by me
-
Hello,
I am looking for advice on how to have personal information removed from a website that is currently online.
The website is using an old name associated with a former youth organisation and is not affiliated with the organisation or the individuals whose information is displayed. The website contains personal information relating to former volunteers/leaders, including names, telephone numbers and private addresses.
The information appears to have been published without the current consent of the individuals concerned. The website is also reportedly being used for unlawful purposes. A formal complaint has already been filed with the police, and the matter has also been reported to the relevant data protection authority.
Could someone please advise me on the correct procedure for requesting the removal of this personal information and, if applicable, the removal or suspension of the website itself?
Thank you in advance for any guidance.

We can’t help as that site isn’t running on the wordpress;com platform – https://wordpress.com/site-profiler/https://casino-online-nieuw.chiroekerendonk.be
You coould try to contact support of the hosting company which seems to be Cloudflare.

I did and until now couldfare replied the following: “Cloudflare offers network service solutions including pass-through security services, a content distribution network (CDN) and registrar services. Due to the pass-through nature of our services, our IP addresses appear in WHOIS and DNS records for websites using Cloudflare. Cloudflare does not generally serve as a hosting provider, does not organize or alter content, and does not have the ability to remove content hosted by others.”.
I suspect this is an automated message so I still contacted their abuse page and hope that they will help. What do you think could help?
