Help Please! Trying to add affiliate marketing link on wordpress?

  Hello,
  I am very confused on if I can use affiliate marketing on my wordpress blog? I looked up the rules and it states that its ok to do so to promote what we are blogging about but how do you add it to the blog? Thanks!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  In the Text editor.

  You can’t create what’s usually known as “an affiliate marketing blog” here. You can create a blog and, in the course of blogging about things, use a simple text affiliate link. Not a javascript link. Not an image link. Just a plain HTML text link, which you put in the text editor.

  Thank you so much! I am so new to this and am trying to learn. Do you know if I can upgrade my wordpress blog and than I can use an image?

  Back to what I can do today- how do I insert the affiliate link? Do I need to put the code somewhere? If so where? I appreciate all your help! Thank you!
