Help setting up blog please

  I am wanting to create a blog on clean eating. I need the page to have a buttons to click that will take readers to different recipe collections such as ‘breakfast’ ‘meals’ etc..How can I do this using the free service? Thanks

  Have you gone through http://learn.wordpress.com yet? Those buttons you’re talking about are Categories. When you make a post that is a breakfast recipe, use the categories Breakfast and Recipe and it will automatically be there when they click the category link.

  Click on my name and go to my blog and click on any category. You’ll see how it works.

  Thanks for your help, that makes sense but what I’m stuck with is how to put the relevant title links front & centre of my blog so readers can see straight away where to click if they want to see all the breakfast recipes for example.. Can you help with this?
