help with account

  i have had a wordpress blog for years, but have not written in 5 or 6. i could not remember my password and thought I was changing it using my new email. so i opened a second account under my new email by mistake. i figured out my password, but want to change my email account to the newer one. in order to do so, i need to close the account i opened by mistake.

  Just to confirm, you’re now able to log into the correct account?

  Closing this new account you created won’t instantly free up the email address. That will only happen once the account data is deleted at 30 days after you close the account.

  So if you want to immediately use this email address for the old account, you’ll first need to change this account’s email to something else, freeing up the email address so you can use it for your old account.
