Help with adding images to image library

  Hello all.

  Sorry if this has been addressed before, but I couldn’t spot it.

  I am struggling with adding images to the image library. I have done the following:
  1) Copied a figure from a PDF document and inserted it into word.
  2) Opened the “upload new media screen”
  3) Dragged the figure from the word document into the box which says “Drop files here”.

  And then nothing happens. I would be most thankful if anybody could help me out a bit.

  That is not going to work. Word doesn’t speak web. You have to find the image somewhere in your file structure and drag it from there.

  What is the URL of the WordPress.com website you need help with, starting with http:// The one linked to your username isn’t hosted here and we can’t help you with that.

  I am working on a post for http://anaximperator.wordpress.com/
  The only thing I need to complete it is to add a few figures from a PDF-document.

  I work on an iPad, everything I read seems to apply to a pc. How do I move pictures from the iPad into the blog media library ?

  @jli9, as raincoaster already pointed out, you need to upload the image files (those that end in JPG, JPEG, GIF or PNG).

  @fphile, are you working with the WordPress.com website directly or with the iOS app?
