Help with Google Adsense notification
-
Hello,
When I log into google adsense I have this notice: ‘Earnings at risk – You need to fix some ads.txt file issues to avoid severe impact to your revenue.’
It says I need to download an ads.txt file then upload the file to the root level of my domain.
I have not been able to figure out how to do this. Can you help? Thanks!Site: http://katiestable.com.

Hi there,
We’re limited in how we can help because we don’t actually host your site on WordPress.com. Hostgator uses a different version of the WordPress platform and we don’t have access to your server files. We actually don’t offer an AdSense integration on WordPress.com, which was my other clue that you might be hosted elsewhere.
However, it’s my understanding that AdSense can be added manually (which sounds like what you are describing) or with the help of a plugin. With that in mind you may want to consider trying the plugin method, which may also manage ads.txt for you.
For the version of WordPress that Hostgator uses you can consider the plugins you see here. Each plugin includes it’s own support forum (for help with setup) and you can see that support link when you look at the detailed info for a given plugin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/adsense/
The other option is to contact your host for their assistance in manually uploading the ads.txt file that AdSense suggests.
Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
