Help with mapping

  I am taking over a business in a month’s time and I am in inheriting their domain name. I want to build a brand new website with WordPress in the meantime and I when I take it over, I want to then redirect the original address to my new site. I know it is possible but I don’t know – can someone advise on how to do this please? Very new to this! Thank you

  Hi @lauraellykavanagh, congrats on the new business! As long as you have access to the domain, it will be no trouble to switch it over to our servers when you are ready.

  So I would start by building your site (we have some tips here:
  https://learn.wordpress.com ). You’ll need a plan with the domain, so you can pick that up when it’s time to switch the domain over, or if you can buy it now and get direct support as you set up the site.
