Help With Other Website Pages

    Hi There,

    I just started working with Sealed With A Kiss and I’m helping them update the look of their website. When I log in here I see the only content I can change is the blog content. I would like to edit all the other pages, how can I do that?

    I’m happy to upgrade to a new plan, but I worry that even if I do that I won’t be able to change the pages that currently exist on the site. I’m also worried that by deleting those pages it will effect the SEO of the site. Can you please help me?

    The account you’re using to post here is the owner and only admin on that site, so you should be able to modify any and all aspects of that site, including upgrading or completely deleting it. To modify pages on the site, go to My Site ->Site ->Pages.

    If you’re not the actual owner of this account, and the owners have given you access to this account to do the work for them, please ask them to immediately change the password so you can no longer access their account.

    For multiple people to collaborate on the same site each person should have their own account, so the site owners should invite you to their site in an admin or editor role via your own WordPress.com username account, depending on what you need to do for them.

    I’m also worried that by deleting those pages it will effect the SEO of the site.

    Deleting any content from a website will have an effect on SEO, as it would result in people reaching a 404-page not found error page when they click on search results for those pages. But search engines will de-index a page when it start returning 404s so it doesn’t show irrelevant results for a particular search term any more.
