help with setting up email forwarding

Hi – We set up a website domain emergencefoundation.uk to point our new wordpress blog to. Now when I go to set up the free email forwarding service by wordpress using the store tab, I get the error message
‘This domain currently has custom mail servers defined in its DNS settings. This means that WordPress.com Email Forwarding is not available for this domain, and that you should manage your email with your email provider.

The email servers for this domain are:

    mx0.123-reg.co.uk.
    mx1.123-reg.co.uk.

Is there a way I can delete these MX addresses so that we can get the free email fording from WordPress? or do I need to use an email service from our domain provider?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

You don’t have to use the email service from your domain provider, if you don’t want it. You can remove those MX records from the “Edit DNS” tab in the domain manager, using the trash icon on the far right when you hover over each MX record.

I just checked your domain and it looks like you removed those records successfully. You can now set up email forwarding as described here: Email Forwarding

Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)

    Hi Rachel
So i have email forwarding working for one email address (info@) but the other one (connect@) doesnt seem to be sending test emails thru to my gmail box, even after I validated the email address. Any ideas?

    Hi there,

Are you sending the test email from the same email address it’s supposed to forward the email to? Our email forwarding system recognizes that and won’t send those emails — you’ll need to send the test email from a different email address.

Please also check to make sure the test email isn’t ending up in your Gmail spam/junk folder, or on one of the other Gmail tabs: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/3055016?hl=en

If you’ve sent the test email from a different address and still can’t find the email anywhere in your inbox, please let me know!
