Help with setting up email routing when domain mapping

    Hi

    I am having problems understanding the setting up of email routing when using wordpress.com domain mapping.

    Say I map to an existing domain called abcdef.com.

    And lets say I choose GMAIL to handle my inbox, soI create a GMAIL account, say (email visible only to moderators and staff).

    I then set my WP MX records to point to Googles mail servers. Fine.

    Question is – how does Google know that the emails sent to my domain abcdef.com need to be dropped in the inbox for my account (email visible only to moderators and staff) – because there is nothing linking those two entities.

    Can anyone help please?

    Never mind, I found the answer. You have to register with Google Apps rather than GMAIL.. then it asks for your domain info.
