help with tmplates

    When selecting wordpress, i thought by selecting the template i could just change the picture, title, decriptions etc. when i selected a template everything is gone and i have to start from scratch. did i do something wrong or is this how it works.

    Can you tell us what site you’re working on and exactly what’s missing?

    Changing a theme on WordPress.com does not modify or remove any content from a site, but some of our newer themes will automatically set a default front page for the theme while setting any existing front page on the site to draft.
