Helping a Client (not my site)- Question About Updating Old WordPress Account- Updated

  1) Let me try this again. It is not my account that is having the issue. It is my client’s. I need a direct contact in order to share the site as I want to protect his privacy.
  2) This is what he explained: On my xxxx page (which is an old page done in word press and hosted by go daddy) I have been unable to edit. The only change that I need to make is the phone number. At the bottom of the page, there is a log in button that used to allow me to put in my password and then make changes but now when I click on it I get a message that says ‘this page isn’t working right now’. Any thoughts on resolving the issue?

  Hi @deborahbgkelly! Have you tried going to the site address.com/wp-admin and logging in there?

  We aren’t able to help much with a site that isn’t hosted at WordPress.com, but here are a few ideas:

  – Get the exact error and search the web with the error in quotes, followed by WordPress

  – Have your client check the admin email fro any clues

  – Ask GoDaddy to check error logs

  – If this happened with a recent theme or plugin update or install, you can manually remove one like so (especially if it’s mentioned in errors):

  – Ask their host to help you restore a good backup
