    HI I have a domain already – bought it a few weeks ago on LetsHost… I also bought a theme forrest word press blog theme – but i cannot seem to set up the website without havign to pay more word press charges – ? it keeps bringing me to the pick a plan page… can i not use a free plan?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    You can no longer register or map a domain individually with WordPress.com. Domain subscriptions can be purchased as a part of one of our many plans here. This recent domains with plans only update was made as we continue to work diligently to provide the best WordPress.com experience for both users who choose to purchase a plan as well as those who choose the free plan.

    Regarding themes, third party themes only be uploaded on WordPress.com if you have the Business Plan Upgrade:

    They are usually used for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

    If you do not want to go with the Business Plan but want to stay with WordPress.com, the good news is that WordPress.com has hundreds of available themes that you can activate (many for free), and they are found under Appearance > Themes

    If you look over the plans that we offer and do not think they are the best fit, purchasing and setting up a self-hosted WordPress.org site through reliable hosts such as Flywheel, Siteground, Pressable, and Bluehost is also a great option.
