Thank you I did that but the post from my website went to my private page instead of my public page. I want these separate. Also it was saying something about making my fb profile user name and ID public. That doesn’t sound good.
I just want to be able to publicize to my public author profile in fb. Not my initial private personal page

Can you give me a link to the profile you want to publicize to?
If its a Facebook Page (rather than a profile), you need to be logged into an account that has control over that page when you connect the Publicize feature. Then, after logging into Facebook through Publicize, you’ll be able to select the Page rather than your profile.

Thanks for that! It looks like you have a valid page there. I just tested our set up process. I’m logged into my Facebook account where I administer the page “Test page” (very creative, I know ;). When I click on “Connect” this window pops up:
If I want to connect the page instead of my profile, I switch the selector to the Page at the bottom and click okay. Are you not seeing this when you try to connect to Facebook? Can you take a screenshot of what you see and upload it to your Media Library?

I get a few different windows saying wordpress needs my public info then I get the window you showed. But it doesn’t have my public page available. Only my private page

Can you try clearing your cache following these directions:
Then log back into Facebook using the account that is an administrator on your page, and try the connection again?

Well, it sounds like something with either your WordPress.com or Facebook cookies are expired or broken. You need to clear those old ones out to set new ones. Most browsers allow you to search for specific cookies and clear only those ones, if you want to do it that way.

Ok so I cleared cookies all temp internet files, browsing history etc. then force refreshed. Then even tried a dif web browser. Still no ability to view the correct fb page when testing posts. Only hooks to private page. Puzzling

I’ve looked thru the fb end too and can’t seem to figure it out. What I don’t understand is the fb like widget I installed goes to the correct page but the simultaneous pist feature will not

I wonder if since I created the public author page off my original page that it’s a page only account or something?aybe I need a different fb page with a dif email or something?

Can you grab some screenshots for me and upload them to your Media Library so I can see what process our system is running through that’s causing the wrong options to be displayed?

Oh I could take the screenshot sorry. I just didn’t know how you’d be able to view it. Anyway something changed and I got it to work. The correct page finally showed up on a test blog and I selected it and saved it in admin. So all is well. Thanks for your help
