  Hi

  I recently opened the blog here – http://divapublications.wordpress.com/ – using template 2014

  When it works it looks great and funstions fine

  But most of the time the top image and some of the images in the left bar simply fail to open

  leaving me with a white space at the top of the page and narrow black empty rectangles where the page images should be

  It’s the same in different browsers and machines and other people report the same

  Any help greatly appreciated

  1) are you optimizing your images for the web, so they are not too large? 72 dpi is the general rule; the web can’t display things in higher resolution than that.

  2) there is a weird bug going around that is interfering with image loading, in some locales more than others. It might be that.

  Thanks for the quick reply – the images on the sidebar are about 700 pixels x 800 – which is bigger than they need be for the sidebar but i use them bigger elsewhere

  The header image – it was recomended by the theme to do it 1260 x 240 so thats what it was – when it didnt show up I made it smaller 525 x 100

  I have encountered the uploading bug on another wp site (it is weird) but this does not feel like that

  Incidentally the white space left by the absent header image is the same width as the header would be but about four times deeper
