"Home" menu item missing from live blog
-
The Home menu item is not showing up on my live blog, but is showing up on the Edit page under Menus.
Using Fruit Shake theme, customized so that I am not displaying header text. (Which is why a “home” button is important!)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
To start using the custom menu shown under Appearance > Menus in your dashboard, you’ll need to save that menu and assign it to the Primary Menu location in your theme or add it to a Custom Menu Widget in your sidebar.
You can read more about setting up and using custom menus here: Custom Menus
Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

Hi, Rachel. I have followed all the steps outlined in the custom menu documentation and have definitely saved the new menu. The “Home” menu item I custom created, using the homepage of my blog as the link, is still not showing in the menu on the live site. It *is* showing on the Edit Menus screen.

Hi there,
Your custom menu is set up, but it isn’t active yet on your site. You can start using your custom menu by going to Appearance > Menus in your dashboard. Click on the Manage Locations tab at the top. Next to Primary Menu, select your menu from the drop down list. Be sure to save your changes when you’re done.
If you want to use your menu in the sidebar, instead, you can add a Custom Menu Widget under Appearance > Widgets in your dashboard. You can select your custom menu in that widget to have it appear in your sidebar.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
