Hello, I cannot edit my home page. It is not listed under my pages tab, so I have no control over what appears on it.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    You have two choices.
    (1) All posts on the front page.
    (2) A static front page and posts on a different page.

By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors.

However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts.

To create a new static page see here and create two pages first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/

After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

    @ kyionsroebuck,

You presently have the “static” page titled “Home” set as your front page at Reading Settings. You also have a post titled “Home,” http://kyionsroebuck.wordpress.com/2015/01/, with the same content, which can be reached via your archives and category widgets. Your “Contact” page is set to display your latest posts.

It’s not clear why you wouldn’t be able to edit the static page titled “Home.” It should definitely appear in your Pages editor, reached via the dashboard Pages menu > All Pages.
