home page settings not working

  I am using the Cortado free theme, and I have created an About page, and set the reading settings and homepage settings, so that that page is the home page, but the built-in home page continues to be the home page no matter what. Is my only option to edit the built-in home page?

  Hi Mary,

  You can certainly change the homepage to another page. But you would need to make sure that the other page you intend to make a homepage should be published and not a draft.
