Homepage loading

  Hello,

  My site problem has to do with the loading speed of the homepage on a mobile device: I have an ex. ‘xyz’ with a speed lower than 1s, if you rename this page to ‘home’ and it becomes the homepage, the speed of the SAME page goes to 4s.

  I’ve done dozens of tests and the same situation always happens, any page placed on the homepage increases the loading time a lot. I need some help, thank you in advance.

  Hi @tucano666, are you using tests that measure first and subsequent page loads? I’m wondering if caching is helping the page speed typically, so it’s slow on the first load after renaming. Or, if your theme changes how the page displays if it’s set to home, that could be a factor too.
