Homepage Look and Guiding Blog Posts to their according Subpage
-
1. How do I have my site be on one certain page when you first visit my site. Maybe with pics and some text or something. It seems to just show my latest post which I want in a subpage (the ‘new here’ subpage). I want it to be a homepage that is the same every time you open my site.
2. When I write posts, how do I make them so they just show up under an allocated page/subpage?
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
So if I understand you correctly you want a blog that has a static page as a Homepage.1. How do I have my site be on one certain page when you first visit my site.
You set a homepage
You can choose a theme to do so, so it’s just replacing texts and images or you can start with a blank page and add blocks
2. When I write posts, how do I make them so they just show up under an allocated page/subpage?
You set a Post Page
And a menu so that the link to your other pages will show in your HompageIf this is too much information, I’d recommend starting with some webinars or tutorials and create your site while you watch them:

And please, come back for help at any point
Good luck! -
I’ve done that but when my site pops up, it still shows my latest (and only post) on the top, which I want on a different page the “new here” page.
When I went to set a “static page” it only shows the 4 pages I have at the top of my site….I don’t want any of those pages to be my homepage, I want the first page that pops up…(the home page) to be static and stay the same every time you go to my site (unless I change things of course).
So I need this page to stay the same, but the post that’s titled “new here!?” to move and only show on the “new here!?” page
There’s a post that says “Welcome to my blog” with a little message underneath the “new here!?” post that I want to be the only thing showing on that page…and then you click on the specific sub pages to go to a different page.
I also went to see if I add a homepage…again, but if I choose a different theme it will get rid of everything I have and how I’ve organized my current page, which I don’t want..

Im sorry, I’ve actually figured out the home page thing. Thank you.
Last struggles is getting certain posts to show only on specific pages.
If I write a blog post that belongs under the “fashion” page, I want it to only show on that page, not every blog post page.

I see that. There are lots of things you can do about this, I’m gonna write a simple way for you to get it done, but add all the information in which you could do it in a more complete and elegant way.
So first, you’ll need to organize your posts under categories
And then you can add a block in the desired page : a Blog Post Block
or a Query Loop Block
These two allow you to add filter to the list of post you want to show en each page. But then, every time you add a post, you are going to have to make sure it’s under the right category and page.
The longer way, is something you do once, and then forget about the issue:
You can even have dynamic category pages that will automatically organize your categories posts and create your menu towards this.
I’ve found a really well explained thread about this that you might want to check.Good luck!
