Homepage not updated when I change theme

    My site’s homepage does not update no matter what theme I apply, even though all other pages are updated. The homepage currently displays latest posts, which is what I want, but without the theme applied.

    I have already done the following: Appearance > Customize > Homepage Settings > Your latest posts.

    When I inspect the homepage, I see a script element with a src attribute that has a link to a theme called ‘twentytwelve’, so I assume my homepage is stuck in the twentytwelve theme even though everything else is updated when I change to other themes.

    I am not given any option to update homepage when I change theme. I am also on an older WordPress version (6.1.4) but cannot update because I cannot update my PHP version. I don’t think the older version is causing the issue because I have another site where I am able to update the homepage when I update theme.

    We can’t help as your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform but is selfhosted. You must take a look in the documentation at wordpress.org or ask for help in their forums.
