I made a website with WordPress and paid for eHost to host it. Their service has been terrible and a corrupted site is there with the domain name that I wish to keep that I think was purchased through them. I have not been able to back up and upload the up to date version that exists in my WordPress account. Can I host this domain with WordPress instead and do I still need to go through the backup and uploading process and would I have the same email?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
It sounds like you want to move from a self hosted WordPress.org site, to WordPress.com. Is that correct?
There are a few key differences between WordPress.org and WordPress.com, which are explained here:
Can I host this domain with WordPress instead
We don’t currently support incoming domain transfers but you can ‘map’ a domain you already own with Domain Mapping:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan, such as the Personal plan. Each paid plan includes a free domain credit which you can use to map a domain you already own (or register a new one).
do I still need to go through the backup and uploading process
The content from your existing site will need to be imported into your WordPress.com site. There is information about the process here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/view-all/
would I have the same email?
As it isn’t possible to transfer the domain to WordPress.com, you would need to speak to your domain registrar about email. The other option is to use a third party service like Zoho Mail:
