  I own a domain name on go daddy. If I host my wordpress blog from there, will I be able to run ads?

  If your blog is hosted on Godaddy then yes – if your domain name is at Godaddy and you map the domain name to your WordPress.COM blog here then the answer is No.

  Thank you for your quick reply! so even if it is a wordpress blog that I am hosing on go daddy I can run ads? Sorry I am new to this and fumbling through the support docs and it wasn’t clear. Do you have any idea how painful it is to move my wordpress blog on go daddy (I will be using the wordpress app)? Am I even making sense?

  Yes – you would have what is called a WordPress.ORG install (the WordPress.ORG software installed on Godaddy servers)
