Hosting on Goddaddy
-
Hi,
I bought a custom theme for a client, we are hosting on Goddaddy, they charge for WP hosting and you charge for using a custom theme so I would have to pay both of you to use WordPress themes? Do I have that right?

You are wrong. Hosting on Godaddy uses the open source wordpress.org and has nothing to do with the wordpress.com platform. So you don’t need a paid plan on the wordpress.com platform.

Ah, that is what I thought but when I go to install a custom theme in WordPress, so I can see what it’s like live, it tells me I need to upgrade to a business plan, made no mention anywhere about .org.
Thanks!
