Hosting problems

The CMS for the website http://www.webbieb.nl is working properly, but the website does not appear on the screen. Not on a laptop, not on a computer, not on a tablet and also not on a smarthone. The website doesn’t appear at all for 6 hours already.
Is there a problem with hosting the website?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

I just checked your website at http://www.webbieb.nl/ and it appears correctly for me. It’s possible that there is an issue with your connection that is preventing you from viewing the website.

Could you load the following URLs and tell me if you have any trouble accessing them?

Also, do you have any trouble accessing http://wordpress.com/ or other sites hosted at WordPress.com?

    Hi Rachel,
Thank you very much for your support! It helped me solving the hosting problems for my website webbieb.nl
I found out what the problem was:
The domain registration party where webbieb.nl is registrated forwarded requests for webbieb.nl to only 1 hosting IP number given by wordpress. However, for my wordpress website webbieb.nl a total number of 6 different hosting IP numbers given by wordpress are valid. The one IP number I used forwarding to my website did not work anymore. So they solved the problem by using the other 5 hosting IP numbers as well, wordpress uses for my website. Since then the problem is solved. Strange that wordpress did not send any notification of this non-working IP adress.
Thanks for your support Rachel! Greetings from Holland, Huub

    Hi Huub,

Thanks for updating us on what happened with your domain! We highly recommend mapping your domain to WordPress.com with name servers instead of IP addresses, as explained here: Map an Existing Domain

Since our IP addresses may change over time, using our name servers is a more stable way to point your domain to WordPress.com. If you do use IP addresses, though, using more than 1 (or all 6 IP addresses) is the best way to do it.

We aren’t able to notify everyone of changes to our IP addresses, but if you ever encounter this issue again you are welcome to contact us to get the latest IP addresses to use for your domain mapping. :)

    Dear Rachel,
You helped me a lot last time when I had hosting problems with my website.
For now I have another question:
In my template Fresh and Clean I make use of ‘sliders’ in the upper section of my website.
However, these slides are static: The pictire doesn’t change automatically to the next one.
What I really want is a dynamic slideshow. Automatic change to the next slider etc.
Is that possible? I coudln’t find the possiblilty, but maybe you can help me.
Thanks in advance! Greetings from Holland, Huub van Dommelen

    Hi Huub,

The slider in the Fresh and Clean theme doesn’t automatically move from one slide to the next. However, you can do that with a gallery slideshow, as described here: Gallery

If you’d like to try a different theme, I’d recommend looking at themes like Widely or Sight. Both of those themes have sliders that automatically advance to the next slide.

You can also search our theme showcase for all of the themes that include a post slider, here:

    http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/post-slider/

Please let me know if I can provide any further help with this. :)

Thank you Rachel, you helped me a lot with this information.
See if I can make the slider more dynamic :-)
