hosting vs mapping

    I just registered a domain with GoDaddy yesterday. I’m very new to this, so I’m trying to determine what the proper next steps are and don’t want to pay for redundant services.

    I’m wanting to use WordPress to create my website. I’m trying to determine what it will cost to Map to a wordpress-made site and how many emails are included.

    Can you help me?

    I would have thought that if the first place you approached was GoDaddy rather than here then that is the place you would be planning to create your site using the WordPress.org software.
    If you’d rather create a site here at WordPress.com then you’ll need an upgraded
    plan so you can map your new GoDaddy domain to the WordPress.com site (you can’t transfer a domain until you’ve owned it 60 days).
