hosting was added

    I decided to add hosting through host gator, i installed wordpress through cpanel and used same user name : ktrevinorn. the email i received to enter wordpress gave me a password so i tried to go in and couldn’t use that password. i got in to my original wordpress site which is not not one used with the hosting company. how do i get this to change to i can use wordpress more effectively using hosting. do i need to delete the original site from wordpress??

    To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/
