Hosting wp & email

  Hi guys,
  Im new here (and also zero experience in webdesign) so probably a stpid question… haha.

  Im buying a domain name and am wondering why i should go to an external hosting. Isnt it poseible to just only keep using wordpress ? Its so easy this way for me. My website will only be a blog and information site,no webshop.
  I would also want an emailbox and am not sure if wordpress arranges that only forwards?

  You can buy a domain to use with your site here if you’d like. :) https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#add-a-domain-name

  For email, we have some options: https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/

  If you have already bought the domain, you have two options for using it here:

  1. Mapping allows you to keep the domain registered with your current domain registrar and direct it to your WordPress.com site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  2. A transfer would allow to manage both your site and domain from the same place: https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/
