HOVER OVER REVEAL EFFECT NOT WORKING

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi Usually on my site https://ivanllarsen.com/ you can view all the images at 100% without the tint opacity.

but when you rollover the image on the site the tint is and text appears which is working.

its just i want the hover off effects/image to be at 100 percent with out the tint?

    hope that makes sense.

ps im not a coding html/css expert

  • Hi @illcreates, right now when you hover, the text appears. Did you also want hover to make the image show up at 100% with no tint at all? Let me know if I understood that right.

I ask, because if there’s no tint at all, the text may be unreadable depending on the image underneath it.

Like if the image is dark, then we roll over and the white overlay goes away, you would end up with black text on a dark image, and it would be hard to read. So if you did that, you’d probably also want to add some kind of little background for the text itself so you can still read it. But that goes into design decisions and what not.

Also, just noting this kind of change is most likely going to be outside our scope of our CSS support, because it’d require a bit more developer and design work that tech support:

But if you’ll confirm what you need, we can let you know for sure; maybe there’s a relatively simple thing to change.
