How can I cancel a domain past expiry date?
-
I would like to cancel an expired domain which is linked to my blog. No button appears for this, and any help on the support pages just loops back to the main support page.

Hi there – I don’t see any domain registrations on this account, only a mapped domain: faithbook.co.nz. Is that what you’d like to cancel? Just let me know and I’ll be glad to assist.

According to my Domains page in my Dashboard, faithbooknz.com is a secondary domain linked to my blog. Apparently it expired last month.
It’s a domain which is registered with WordPress.com and our page says we now owe $106 due to a late fee.
We want to cancel it completely – or is it automatically cancelled because it has expired? It still shows up on our Domains page. -

Thanks for confirming which domain you’d like to cancel. Since faithbooknz.com was purchased by a different user than lukechapter12 I’ll just need to get confirmation from that user before we can cancel it.
If you could please have the user who purchased that domain leave a message in this thread to confirm that they want to completely cancel faithbooknz.com I’ll be glad to take care of it.
Just a heads-up that canceling this domain means you completely give up ownership of it. There is no guarantee the domain will become available to re-register after cancellation.
