How can I change the post order back to reverse-chronological order?
-
My posts at http://germch55.wordpress.com are no longer in reverse-chronological order ever since I made my last post on 6/17/12 entitled, “The Bethpage Restoration Village.”
How can I fix this?

Are ny of your posts marked as “sticky posts”? http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts If so edit and remove that designation > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/

I think my problem is brower related. Before making my last post I uploaded Firefox. The previous posts were made using Internet Explorer. Now I just have to figure out how to fix this. Yesterday I added the plug-ins. I’m wondering if I should re-post my last post now that I have the necessary plug-ins for my new browser (Firefox).

is followed by

instead of by

and by

and by

and three other posts.
I want them to be in reverse-chronological order. -
I don’t see how this issue can be browser related. All browser do is display content. Blogs are designed to display posts in reverse chnronological order on the main page for posts in a blog. Every URL has the datestamp embedded inro it. The default timezone is UTC and we chnage that here > Settings > General to relflect our own timezone by selecting a city in the same timezone we are in on that page. As you say the posts aren’t marked as “sticky posts” I don’t know how to help you and I have flagged this thread for Staff intervention.

Are you pasting in from another program? That can mess up the code and cause very strange behavior.
Also your Posts are real long – your site was difficult for me to navigate – consider using the “More” Tag to shorten the way your Posts are displayed on the home page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
You have a lot of pictures and using the More Tag with some of the pictures hidden after the More Tag your site would load faster and your site would be more friendly

Timethief, thank you very much.
Auxclass, thank you for your helpful suggestion. I will consider that.

When I posted http://germch55.wordpress.com/2012/06/17/the-bethpage-restoration-village/ I started by uploading the pictures. Next I had difficulty typing text (it wouldn’t let me) so I clicked “HTML” and it worked. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
Auxclass, I’m sorry I didn’t answer your question. No, I did not paste from another program.

Another thing that is wrong is that in http://germch55.wordpress.com/2012/06/17/the-bethpage-restoration-village/ the pictures appear in one column as if they’re one big image. They appear in a way that’s different from my other posts.

I fixed it! Today I trashed my last post and re-posted it from scratch. It looks like the problem is fixed. I suppose my new browser – minus plug-ins – was the problem. If not then maybe it was because I posted part of my last post in HTML.
I also changed my posts from “Standard” to “Gallery” to make it more user friendly.
Thank you Timethief and Auxclass.
