How can I copy/paste for a new post?
-
See latest new post. When I tried to copy a TH draft to WP, margins changed drastically, fonts changes, italics changed. When I tried then to insert a pic, it was fine in draft, but the pic moved in preview, and a whole paragraph was eliminated when published. I had to delete the whole thing.

Hi. What’s a “TH Draft”?
If you are trying to copy-paste from a word processor, you may get unexpected results. I don’t recommend using a word processor to write posts.

I wrote the draft at Townhall (TH). My post shows the link to my blog there. It was not written in a word processor. Thank you.

re:copying and pasting from anywhere else
If you have been copying and pasting text from elsewhere without using either icon 5 or icon 6 in Row 2 of the visual editor, please see here so you know how to do this correctly in the future. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-textAlso Go to Settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
Now, starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, make one minor change such as adding a space and then deleting it, and then click “Update Post.” Check your blog and see if it is back to normal.

Copying and pasting from other places typically brings in all sorts of code that can mess things up here. WordPress does their best to strip out that code so that it doesn’t turn your site into something unrecognizable.
My suggestion, if you want to write offline, is to use a blog client such as Ecto (mac/windows), Windows Live Writer (Windows) or Blogdesk (Windows). They create clean code that doesn’t mess things up. Timethief did a nice roundup on the different blog editors.
