How can I count how many people have clicked on my audio players or audio files?
-
I primarily use my wordpress blog to host daily (audio-only) talk shows. I have not figured out a way to count how many people click on the audio players for each show. When I upload the audio files each day through my wordpress site, they also get sent to iTunes. I need to count how many people are clicking on those audio files too. Can you explain how I can do this?

Hi there,
WordPress.com currently does not include clicks on the audio player in your site stats, but you can track how many people click the podcast link to download the audio file. That’s included in the Clicks section of your My Stats page. I passed along this suggestion to our developers, though, so they can consider adding audio player stats in a future update.
iTunes itself doesn’t track stats. This is from their FAQ:
Podcasts are hosted on your server or by a third party you designate. The iTunes Store is acting as a directory, similar in function to a web directory. Consequently, the iTunes Store does not provide subscription or download figures.
Please let me know if I can do anything more to help.
