How can I create blogs within my blog and sell ad space to people who contact me

Hi, I have a blog through wordpress and a shop that I have linked my business website to. I would like to know now how to make two pages on my blog that are static pages to be set up like blogs on each page? So when I click on the page “Blog” I could post running blogs there and the page called “DIY / Crafts” and “Behind the Seams”. Also, I would like to be able to sell ad space to other boutiques that contact me privately and want to know the proper way to create and add my own ads to the sidebar with an image and a link but without being kicked off, I know WordPress has strict guidelines about adspace. These will only be personal ads of my own. I’ve tried the image widget about a million times doing everything correctly and yet no image or link shows up on the sidebar, only the image title.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there – we don’t allow third-party advertising of the kind you’re describing, so if you wanted to stay with WordPress.com, selling ad space to other boutiques wouldn’t be permitted.

Going with a self-hosted site using the free WordPress.org software would allow you to sell any kind of advertising you like.

You can learn more here about our advertising policies and about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org.

To create separate blog categories, you could use the Categories feature, and then add those categories to a Custom Menu, following the instructions.

Just let me know if you need further help.
