How can I delete an old domain name?

Dear,
I have an old domain name (salonvalesa.com) and a new domain name (valesasalon.com). The old one is expired. When I connect to any of those two adresses, it says the name is expired and needs to be renewed. But I don’t want to renew the old domain name, I want to keep the new one and get rid of the old one, and that people can access my website by now typing “valesasalon.com”, without having a popup that says I didn’t pay for the old domain name.
So how do I delete the old domain name, while keeping the website active on the new domain? (and without having to pay the 80$ dollars late fee to reactivate an old domain I don’t want anymore?)Best Regards,

I can absolutely help you with that.
Just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain salonvalesa.com it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can’t guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using salonvalesa.com again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel.
Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it and remove the upgrade from your account.
