How can I easily remove that spam that has built up?
-
There are over 4,000 spam messages on the http://www.r-hom.com website. It appears that over half have shown up in the past month. I tried to delete all of them at once but received an error message.
I also noticed, when I looked at the messages that have been received, that a few have gotten through Askimet. Is there an easy way to permanently delete all 4,000+ of the spam without having to do it one page at a time? I would also like to know if you have any suggestions on ways to limit the amount of spam that we get.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

Hi there!
I see 12 spam comments on your site currently:

Can you point me to where you’re seeing 4,000?

They are on the r-hom.com website.
Is the above site active? It was the site we originally set up and then we started paying $26 per year to have the .wordpress removed.
Thanks!

The link I gave you above is for the Comments section of your site’s admin interface. The admin links still include the .wordpress.com because of the way our sites are structured.
Can you give me a link to the exact page where you’re seeing the spam?

Here is the link: rhomco.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=feedback
There are forms on the webpages that are being filled out by spammers. Only a few have gotten through to the emails on the forms and the rest have been blocked.
There are over 4,000 that have been blocked and I’m trying to delete all of them – that is where I am running into the problem. I am not able to delete all the messages at once without getting an error message. Instead, I have to delete them one page at a time, which is very time consuming.
I also noticed that the number of spam messages has been increasing and wanted to see if there is something that I can do to decrease them.
Thank you. -
Ah ha. Thank you! Sorry, I hadn’t thought to look in your feedback.
I’ve asked our developers to clear those out for you. And the Akismet team is working on setting up auto clearing for the feedback spam folder.

Hey there!
We cleared your spam feedbacks this morning. And these messages auto delete from the spam folder after 15 days, so you don’t really need to worry about clearing it going forward.
If you do decide to clear your spam manually, open Screen Options using the tab on the upper right. And set the number to something like 250 and hit “Apply”. Then your screen will show more messages at once. Instead of clicking on “Empty Spam”, select the checkbox next to “From” and from the Bulk Actions drop down choose “Delete Permanently”.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
