How can I embed a Facebook photo in my wordpress blog post?
-
I’d like to embed a photo from Facebook in my wordpress blog post and I’d like to do it in exactly the same way as embedding a Facebook post/update. In the “help” article on how to embed Facebook updates, it says that it won’t work if there is “photo” instead of “post” in the Facebook URL. But is there any other way to include Facebook updates that have a photo attached?
Thanks in advance for any answers! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I haven’t had any problem. You can see it here: http://drinkscoaster.com/2014/07/06/sunday-food-porn-life-of-pie-edition/
The URL of the Facebook embed is https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=323146961122942&set=a.251564004947905.47255.205523986218574&type=1 and as you can see, it has “photo” in it. Works fine.
The one thing is, you have to take it from the original uploader’s page. If your friend shared it, you generally will not be able to post it from their link, you have to click through to the original, then use that URL.

Strange. I did have the original update/link and when I copied it into my blog post it was shown as the link and not as the update. I’ll try again tho.

Click to the Text editor and make sure your theme hasn’t put P tags or something around it. Some themes do. Just strip them out and Update.
Also note, you can only share posts that are public.

No, no tags around there or anything and also it is public. You know, I didn’t really expect it to work out that way after I’d read in the help section that it only works with “posts” and not “photos”. Surprises me that it does for you.
I just thought there might be another way to embed Facebook photos. I’ve worked with links now which of course works fine, I just would have liked to display the updates with the photos directly in my blog. But it’s okay, I guess I can also live with the links ;-)
